The difficulties of being a woman in the patriarchal and religious Iranian society are the starting point of the project: the Betrayed Body. To be a woman in Iran means to step aside, to be obliged to be ignored and to ignore oneself. To be a woman means to be condemned to being unremarkable.

The first part of the Betrayed Body transcribes the anger and radicalism of the bitter memories of a wasted life. This muted and outlet rage paves the way to the second part of the project, reappropriation.
